THE M1 DOES MY TALKING! THE U.S. M1 GARAND
RIFLE IN PICTURES: WW2 & KOREA
Robert Bruce
Binding Type: softcover

The widely acclaimed photographic history of the imcomporable M1
Garand Rifle in US & allied service has recently completed its
3rd printing. #1 Weapons in Pictures Series. 300+ military
archive B&W & color images; 7x10 inches, 81 pgs

The title of this book is borrowed from artist Jes Schlaikjer's
1945 poster. He, in turn, seems to have borrowed the words form
John C. Garand himself. By all accounts a quiet and modest man,
Garand did not enjoy the spotlight of wartime publicity. Pressed
by a reported to comment on his monumental contributions to the
war effort, he is said to have replied, "My gun speaks loud
enough for both of us." Indeed it did, in every corner of the
world.
